The Supreme Court docket in Nos. 25-238 and 25-566 shows the Connecticut respondents' and Cook County's merits briefs, first submitted October 21, 2026, were not accepted for filing and were re-filed the same day as corrected briefs; argument remains set for December 2.

The official docket for Nos. 25-238 and 25-566 records October 21, 2026 entries for a brief of Ronnell Higgins and other Connecticut respondents and a brief of Cook County, each first marked "not accepted for filing" pending correction and then re-filed as corrected versions marked "filed." The docket directs that future consolidated filings appear under No. 25-238.

The July 15 order set respondents' merits briefs due October 21. The docket also records an October 29, 2026, Rule 46.2 motion to dismiss petitioner Cutberto Viramontes, marked submitted and not yet ruled on as of November 1, 2026. This is a briefing-stage update, not a ruling on the merits.

The Court's docket still lists one hour of consolidated oral argument for December 2, 2026. These entries do not establish an argument outcome or a decision date.
